The Consumer Protection Agency (CPA)



Consumer protection is a group of a Law and organization to ensure the rights of consumers as well as fair trade competitions. It also works for truthful information at marketplace. The laws work for to protect from fraud and specified advantage over competitors. They also give the additional protection for weak and who unable to protect themselves.

The Law is come from the government regulation to protect the right of consumers. They want to disclose the right and fair information about products. The ambitions behind all this are to protect peoples from health issues and wrongs foods and help with consumer complaints. Other organizations that promote a consumer protection with government organization and self-regulating business organizations like consumer protection agencies like Federal trade commission, ombudsman, Better business bureau etc.


Consumer interests can also protect by promoting competitions in market from organizations resale and use in production and marketing. The protection is also work for the markets direct and indirect serve consumers, consistent with economic efficiency. The consumer protection is also work for the non-government organization and individuals as consumer activism. In all over the world 49 national constitutions currently in place include some sort of consumer rights.

In Recently News The Consumer Protection agency(CPA) has been at the fore front advocating for improvement in policies and legislation that helps to deliver the protection for the rights of consumers goods and services ultimately. The CPA is working with stakeholders including Food and drugs Board (FDB), Ghana standard authority, Environmental Protection Agent, Police and national road safety commission and Traders associations for health and safety of consumers.
